thank you, dear Ruth, for believing in me and hiring me for a fabulous seasonal job with the most fun place I have ever worked! I do believe it was in the early 80's when my husband would bring my 2 yr old (at the time) in on his shoulders for a glass of cider and donut and my son would yell at the end of a long line, "hi momma"!! Wishing you peace and to your family I send my condolences. Kitty Castillo
Mrs. Bodker was always so nice and a true lady indeed. I shall always remember her smiles and her laugh. Thank you Mrs. Bodker for all the Chinese meals after a busy Sunday at the Mill! And may God's grace encamp around the man who had the second greatest influence on me in this life, second only to my own father, Mr. Vern Bodker, an honorable and good man. Lastly, Grace and peace to Chris and Greg. I still think fondly of each of you on beautiful autumn Sunday's... Mike Corcoran
"Aunt Ruthie" was the most elegant of the "Bald Eagle Gang", who remained friends from the start of their student days at Wayne State in 1942. Ruth, Pat, Dottie and Eileen laughed, cried and loved each other for almost 70 years. Pat was the first to go, in 2006. My mother, Eileen, joined her in 2010. Now only Dottie remains. As the only daughter, I was lucky enough to be included in their semi-annual luncheons, where I shared their true friendships.
