PHENEGAR THOMAS FRANKLIN December 25, 2012 Mr. Thomas F. Phenegar, age 76 of Clinton Township, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at his home in Clinton Township. He was born on August 10, 1936 in Bucyrus, Ohio, the son of the late Norman E. and Helen (Leuthold) Phenegar. On July 12, 1957, Tom was united in marriage with Lois Maday. Lois passed away on January 21, 1984. Later, he was united in marriage with JoAnn Franklin on December 9, 1989 at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Allen Park. Tom was a carpenter and president of Pheney Construction Company. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, boating and camping with his family. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a member of Eagles and the American Legion. Mr. Phenegar is survived by his wife of 28 years, JoAnn; five children, Thomas (Susan) Phenegar, John Phenegar, Chris Phenegar, Christy (JohnAlan) Holzerland and Richard (Rebecca) Franklin; six grandchildren, Nicole Phenegar, Justin Phenegar, Julia Holzerland, Amanda Franklin, Thomas Franklin and John Holzerland. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens with the Reverend Eugene Koessel officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township. In lieu of flowers, please donate to wishes of the family. JoAnn, I talked with Tom on Christmas Eve while you guys were at church services. He was positive, strong and said he was feeling good. I will miss a true friend, and you will miss a great guy. So sorry, so sad
