EMERY CHARLES R., 90, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 4, 2013. Beloved husband of Kathleen; brother to Mildred and Kenneth; father of Charles (Margaret) Jr., Karen, Donna (John) Rabaut, Elizabeth (Steven) Ackley, Susan (Joshua Barr), and grandfather of Erin, Joseph, Lindsay, Nicholas, Madison, and Sabrina. Retired from Michigan Bell with 41 years of service, Charles also co-founded Wolverine Tech, TTI and C.E. Communications. Raised in Dearborn, MI, Charles proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and volunteered throughout his life in Telephone Pioneers, Boy Scouts of America, and the Big Brothers program. A fierce competitor and natural athlete, Charles had achievements in baseball, hockey, bowling, and golf, including a term as president of Lochmoor Club. Visitation will be Friday 5-9 p.m. and service Saturday 10 a.m. at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Woods, MI.
