KOHLER JACOB M. "JAKE" Age 90, January 6, 2013, a longtime resident of Madison Heights, Michigan. Dear husband of Dorothy (nee Isrow). Loving father of Mary (the late Robert) Lawitzke, James Kohler, Christine (Karl) Stoll, Susan (Steve Locser) Kohler, Bruce (Louise) Kohler, Michael (Jacqui) Kohler, Thomas (Janice) Kohler, Laurie (Ivan DeWilde) Kohler, Robert (Jolleen) Kohler, and the late Nancy Paavo. Loving grandfather of 28 and great-grandfather of 15. Brother of Rudy Kohler, Anna (Dr. Karl-Heinz) Schueller and the late Herbert Kohler. Jake was a veteran of WWII (Army), member of V.F.W. Post 9222, Berkley, Ml, and K of C Council 4188 Clawson, MI. He volunteered at the Madison Heights Nature Center for many years, was a past member of the Guardian Angels Choir and Resurrection Choir.Memorials to The Capuchins, l820 Mt. Elliott, Detroit, MI 48207. Visitation Wednesday 3-8 p.m. with a scripture service Wednesday 7 p.m. at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre, Madison Heights, MI. I was so very sad to hear of Dear Jake's passing. He sang behind me in the resurrection choir and when i was an alto. His voice was just so comforting to blend with. Such a lovely, gentle and talented person that I had the pleasure of knowing for over 20 years.

Our deepest sympathy upon the loss of your dear husband, father, grandfather, and gr. grandfather. It was a pleasure to know Jake, Dorothy and family, as our neighbors on Meadows. So sorry to not have been able to attend the funeral. Sending love to all and God Bless.
