Proud grandfather of Deana (John) Wooten, Mark (Jennifer) Raffin, Steven (Bobbi Jo) Raffin, Melissa (John) Marek, Jon (Holly) Bialczak, Brandon (Jennifer) Benvenuti, Brad Benvenuti, and great-grandfather of Anthony, James, Dominic, and Kai. Visitation Monday 3-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons (Shelby Twp), 54880 VanDyke at 25 Mile Rd. Funeral Tuesday, in state 9:30 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Rd. at Romeo Plank until time of Mass 10 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. I worked in the Turbine Lab as an Engineer and enjoyed the daily association with Roger.His attitude was always positive and he would quote in Italian the equivalent of saying "The Force of Destiny" if things didn't turn out as planned or anticipated. He was a lover of raw sunflower seeds and readily shared what he had with anyone - Roger got me hooked on sunflower seeds - based on his age there maybe something to them for longevity. God Speed

Roger was one of the best and nicest members of the Research Department. I always enjoyed his company and subtle humor. It was a time of great achievement and he was an important part of it. My sincere condolences to his family.
