JACOBS RICHARD L. "DICK" Born February 9, 1932, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Orchard Lake, MI, passed away peacefully January 10, 2013. Dick is survived by his longtime companion, Donna VonMinden; his children, Dawn Jacobs, Lori House (Tom), and Kurt Jacobs; and grandchildren, Scott (Lane Ana) and Leslie House, and Zach, Shaun, and Meggan Jacobs; as well as his former wife, Wilma Jacobs. Dick was a lifelong athlete and a founding member of The Friends of Mackenzie, which awarded scholarships to young students and athletes at Detroit's Mackenzie High, which he attended. His passion for athletics and golf formed the basis for the life lessons he passed along to his children and grandchildren -- never take more than you deserve, never write down something that isn't true.
