CARANO BERNARD J. Age 92. Beloved husband of Anita for 68 years. Dear father of Susan (Skip), James (Nancy), Linda (Dave), and Carol (Russell). Loving grandfather of Amy (Peter), Jeremy (Jodi), Stefanie, Stevan (Michelle), Theresa (Matt), Andrew, Lauran and Daniel, and great-grandfather of Liam, Sean, Layla, Tyler, and Dominic. Dear brother of Eugene, Thomas, and the late Joseph Carano. Favorite uncle of many. His family was his treasure. Bernie served in the Navy during WWII. He and his father Sam were owners of Piemonte Market in Detroit. He retired at 62 from Cantoro's Market. His passion for reading, gardening, cooking, and movies was passed on to his children and grandchildren. We love you and we will miss you. Visiting will be Wednesday, January 23, 3-8 p.m. at Charles Step Funeral Home, 18425 Beech Daly (between 6-7 Mile). In state with visiting Thursday 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Mass at St. Priscilla Church, 19120 Purlingbrook (W. of Middlebelt, N of 7 Mile) in Livonia.
