I pray God's strength for the family during this difficult time. May your sorrow be overshadowed by the great life of service that she lived as a Principal for the Detroit Public Schools.
Denise was a great person and friend. She was very knowledgable and a master of professional development. We taught together at Maybury Elementary. I continue to utilize many of the professional development instructional strategies used to organize the staff today. She was a very positive and was always smiling. I only heard kind words come from her mouth. She cared a great deal about children. My love, support, and prayers go out to Deniese's family. God Bless her.
I am VERY saddened by this news but am comforted in knowing that Denise is at peace. My sympathies to the family at this difficult time and hoping for serenity in the days and weeks ahead.
So very sorry for your lost. Betty Minnie Kellys sister
Denise was a beautiful person who will be greatly missed.
When I think of Denise it is her beautiful smile that always comes to mind. Rest in Peace Denise.
Thinking back, the greatest memory I have with Mrs. Fielder is on my graduation ceremony at Maybury Elementary School. As part of the ceremony each student was to give a flower to one Teacher for their notable hard work in our education. A long time ago I struggled A long time ago you believed in me A long time ago I stood on a milk crate on a podium Knees shaking Heart pounding In front of many I held a flower This flower carried a belief The belief you had in me Though you were not alone in shaping who I am It was you who took me aside put your hands on my shoulder and said YOU CAN DO THIS You can do anything But you have to want it I believed in these words when I gave you this flower I believe in these words as I come to give you one more Thank you for your endless dedication to a very young student A long time ago Thank you so much For all that you have given me
