GADWELL PHILIP JAMES Age 72, of Howell, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013. Born in Detroit on November 4, 1940. He was the son of the late Alexander J. and the late Helen E. (Ptasnik) Gadwell. A Howell resident since 1979, Philip was a retired inspector for GM's Fisher Body Livonia plant. Cars were in his blood with activities including the Ford Mercury Car Club, cruise nights and swap meets, to mention just a few. Beloved husband of Linda (Borsa) Gadwell whom he married in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on April 20, 1990. Dear friend and former husband of Caroline Gadwell. Loving father of Catherine (Charles) Fields of Fowlerville, the late Peter Gadwell (1980), Theresa (James) Napolitan of Howell and Paul (Karen) Gadwell of Howell. Proud and loving grandfather of Aimee, Nicole, Anthony, Michael, Lauren, Bryan and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of Mary (Phil) Tumminello of Hawaii and the late Michael Gadwell. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Philip was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 E. Washington Street (at Fowler Street), Howell, where Mass of Resurrection will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. (in state 10 a.m.). Visitation Wednesday, 2 - 8 p.m. (Rosary 7 p.m.) at MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800). Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospice.
