Bob and I worked together on Apprenticeships for General Motors. A true gentleman and professional in every sense of the word. May he rest in peace. Sincerely, Pat Kavanagh
will miss him alot! He alaways had a good story to tell
Dear Family of Bob: Just saw the posting. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this sad time. Bob worked for Gathen Industries' plant in Center Line in the 1950s as a machinist while he was helping MCCC get started. He was a fine and decent man as well as a "good mechanic." I considered him my friend. I worked with him in those days while I was learning the die making trade before becoming an engineer. We had lunch on March 17, 1971. I remember the date because my daughter, Kaylie, was born that morning--in time for me to get to the lunch. Gary Gathen
