Requiescat in pace! My prayers on with Fr. Liberty's brother priests, family and friends. Wish I could be present for the funeral. Will remember him at Mass here in Rome on Monday.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. He was a wonderful man, loved by so many. I will never forget his kindness and sense of humor. He will be missed.
I thank God for bringing this holy man into my life. He was a friend, as well as a priest who increased my faith because of his faith. I know he is in Heaven as he has earned his reward.
I am so sorry to hear of Father Liberty's passing. I have a lot of good memories of him when he was at St Jude. He was such a happy, up beat person. I will never forget him and his many sermons that involved his personal life. I will miss you. Prayers and condolences to his family and friends.
May the Angels guide you to paradise, Robert. This morning I am celebrating a private mass for the repose of his soul and the consolation of all who loved him.
We can never guess God's plan!! Fr. Liberty,I thought I would grow very old teasing you about your early days at St.JoanofArc!! Taken from us much too soon but surely resting eternally with the Father. Peace to your family.
The Lord bless you and keep you my friend. You will be missed.
Robert was definitely a bright spot for our office during my days in the Institute for Ministry at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. A real person..nothing fake..truly loved God and his Family & Friends. I keep you in my prayers, Robert.
I loved him at St.Jude
Loved his enthusiasm and his powerful presence at St. Jude. My son's were alter servers for him and I loved the way he took them in under his wing. He confirmed my oldest son at Easter Vigil and that's a memory that I will cherish forever. I will always remember Fr. Liberty walking back and forth across the alter saying "can I have an AMEN" May God take you into his arms and embrass you as you have done to others. You will be missed.
May Robert rest in God's loving peace! Thoughts and prayers for his family.
I remember Fr. Liberty's first daily mass at the National Shrine of the Little Flower.During Mass, he has to lean over and ask Fr. Heppen, the concelebrant, who the saint of the day was. I remember this moment as one of joy and humility. May God's face shine upon you this day. You are missed dearly here.
It was with much surprise upon knowing of Fr. Liberty's passing .We feel blessed to have known Fr. Liberty. He baptized our two daughters at the National Shrine of the Little Flower, and what made it more special was that he agreed to baptized our second daughter even if he was no longer at Shrine, and for that we will always be grateful..Now, He will be our daughter's guardian angel. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. He will be missed dearly.
Fr. Liberty was a classmate in the Clinical Pastoral Education Program just prior to his ordination. I was beneficiary of his generous spirit in having received a book from him then, that has remained in our library, and that I am looking at right now. My wife and I also had the pleasure of enjoying his genuinely pleasant personality when we met at the Shrine. We thank God for his presence in the world and pray for his family and friends. Blessings and peace.
Fr. Liberty was so good to me. I will miss him dearly, but remember he is another guardian Angel for me.
I am so saddened to see this. Father Robert was such a good friend to my Grandma Theresa Witkowski. His visits always brightened her day. I'm sure they already are reconnecting in heaven. My thoughts and prayers to his family during this difficult time.
I just saw the death notice for Fr. Liberty today and it seems appropriate to see this near Memorial Day because what I remember most about him from his time at Shrine was his passion to serve as a military chaplain. I am sure he made a lasting impact on those he served as a chaplain.
I could just cry,we met years ago and met for lunch and such, gave him a book to find a word meaning music of the Gods... Just found out he died, he was loved.
