STARR JOEY September 23, 2013. Age 50. Beloved husband of Denise for 8 cherished years. Loving father of Haley Marquee-Starr and step-father of Jason Knobblock. Dear son of Josef (Carolee) Starr and Barbara Starr. Loving brother of Tammy (Mike) Starr-Ramirez, Justin Starr and Kelsey Starr. Dearest grandson of Adeline Bagnasco and Maria Starr. He will be greatly missed by his nephew, Joshua Bates, uncle, Ed Starr, cousins, Mike and Eddie Starr and all of his friends. Joey's passion was playing in his band "Pittbull" with his brother Justin and having the opportunity to tour Europe twice. In his free time he could be found doing another thing he loved, fishing on the lake. Visitation Thursday 3-9 p.m. at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile Rd.). Funeral Friday 10:30 a.m. at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Axis Music Foundation which provides musical education programs, instruments and the highest level of instruction to young children, teens, adults, and schools around the Metro Detroit Area. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Joey. I knew him through his brother Justine. Although I have unfortunately not been in contact with them for quite some time, I have nothing but fond memories of hanging out with them watching them play. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
